Finkadella

- 1 # lean twice-gound beef
- 1/2 c soft bread crumbs without crusts
- 1/4 c beef stock
- 2 Tbsp grated onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 big pinch pepper
- 1 small pinch mace
- 1/4 c evaporated milk
- 3 c boiling beef stock for cooking

Mix everything together except last 3 cups of stock and stir until smooth. Using floured hands, carefully form into small balls and slide into the boiling stock. Cook a full 30 minutes at a simmer and serve like soup.
